In-Water Survey
In-Water Survey is a class-approved method of inspecting a vessel’s underwater parts — such as hull plating, rudder, propeller, and sea chests — while the ship remains afloat. Conducted by certified divers, IWS is often used as an alternative to dry docking, saving time and cost during statutory inspections or intermediate surveys.
What We Do
At BDR Ship Repair, we offer fully certified in-water surveys in cooperation with major classification societies. Our professional diving teams use high-definition video, photography, and structured reporting to document the underwater condition of your vessel — supporting class approvals and repair planning without interrupting operations.
Dive & Inspect
Certified divers carry out detailed visual inspections and record high-resolution video and photo data of key underwater components.
Report & Submit
We prepare class-approved reports and submit all documentation with inspection media, ensuring survey compliance and operational continuity.
